Students can benefit by acquiring a better understanding of the fundamentals of exchange rates, including currency risk management, that will improve their ability to make sound financial decisions in their role as managers. In particular, students seeking a career as a financial analyst, corporate finance manager, investor relations manager, financial consultant, or portfolio manager would have a competitive advantage by earning this concentration.

- Will my employer accept the MBA Online as a "real" degree?
Yes, they'll probably be impressed with your diligence in fitting your education around your demanding lifestyle by using online education. The quality of the MBAO program is administered by an Academic Affairs Committee made up of two MBA faculty and/or administrators from each of the participating campuses. All of the participating universities are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and by AACSB International.
- What is the cost of the program?
Tuition and fees charged differ for each UT System campus as well as by residency status. As a result, the cost of taking a course in the MBAO program will vary depending on the host campus of the course and your residency status. Since the MBAO is a collaborative program, students will take courses from all of the participating campuses to complete the 48-credit degree plan. Students are billed by each campus for courses. Links to campus tuition and fee information can be found on the Cost and Financial Aid page.
- What resources and activities will faculty use to provide students with experiences that are comparable to residency programs?
Courses are designed to enhance interaction between faculty and students. Chat rooms, threaded discussions and e-mail will be used to facilitate discussions. Team projects will be used to help students share their business experiences with each other as part of the learning process.
- Will I have to visit any of the participating campuses?
The MBAO program is offered predominantly using the Internet, but may include supplemental materials such as video/audio tapes and CD-ROM. Students are not required to attend the campuses at any time.
- How can I find more information?
Please contact the advisors listed above for more information about the program.
To participate in the MBAO program, you must choose a home campus by applying to and being accepted by one of the three degree-granting institutions listed above. Criteria, procedures and deadlines for admission vary slightly from one university to another, but are predominantly the same as the traditional residence programs. Consult the participating universities' websites for specific details. Additionally, all MBAO students must have successfully completed a college-level course in statistics.
